St. Pete Smiles will be resuming patient care Monday May 4th, 2020, and are ready to reschedule those who missed appointments during our 6 week closure.
Infection control has always been a top priority in our practice to keep you safe. We continue to follow recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and monitor these agencies closely so we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance.
You will notice a few things when you come to our office along with our already strict infection control protocols. For example:
- Our office will communicate with you ahead of your appointment to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you arrive, and we will take your temperature with a touchless thermometer. Staff will be asked the same screening questions daily and temperature taken as well.
- When entering the office, we ask that you come wearing a face covering, and to use the hand sanitizer at the front counter.
- We have removed the magazines and books from the reception room, as these items cannot be properly disinfected. We encourage you to bring your own iPad, book, etc.
- Should you choose, you may wait in your car and be texted when we are ready for you. Three seats remain in the reception area, for proper social distancing. In this regard, please do not bring companions to your appointment unless they are a medically necessary caregiver.
We are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we have taken to keep you safe. Please call our office at 727-343-0824 to make an appointment.
